Smallbore

The Exeter Sportsman’s Club Small Bore League meets on Tuesday nights from 5:00PM to 7:30PM during the league’s scheduled season. The club’s ranges will be closed to member use on Tuesday’s at 4:00PM when the Small Bore League is active. The league is open to the public.

Rifle & Pistol alternates each week (5 nights rifle/5 nights pistol total). 10-Pin bowling pins are used for targets. We shoot at the whole pin as well as just tops. Rifles are fired from 50yds and Pistols from 25 yds. You are allowed 50 rounds of ammunition per night. Points are awarded for each hit (1 hit = 1 point). A maximum of 500 points is possible and would be a perfect season.

.22 caliber rifles and pistols with open sites are used in the Exeter Sportsman’s Club Small Bore League. All shots fired at the targets are taken “offhand”. Shooting benches, tripods, etc... are not used. This is a true test of marksmanship.
